For use on injection moulding machines where high end “engineering resins” are being moulded such as PET, TPE, PPO, TPU, ABS, PS, EPDM and more.

UP5000 is globally approved and recommended by Husky for use on their PET lines.

The average dose of UP5000 is “1 machine barrel capacity” meaning a little really does go a long way with UP5000.

UP5000 has NSF approval but isn’t mouldable.

The product reacts chemically with each resin that it comes into contact with, generating a soap which provides a powerful cleaning action. This abrasion free cleaning method allows UP5000 to be used on hot runners as well as the screw and barrel.

UP5000 works quickly, with minimal soak time (3 mins on average) meaning colour changes and material changes are able to take place at a rapid speed.

Working best in what we call a “Sandwich” in the barrel i.e. old resin/old colour, purge, new resin/new colour, UP5000 is easily removed in 5 shots or less, dramatically reducing the scrap rates associated with colour and material changes.
